This soap lathers easily into a very rich, thick lather, and rinses clean very easily. It has no scent and contains no essential oils, which irritate my skin and scalp. I use it to wash my hair and find that my scalp does not get dry, tight or itchy as with most shampoos, nor does it block my pores and cause little bumps on my scalp, while it cleans my oily scalp very well and thoroughly removes the medicated creams I apply on my face, ear, and scalp for neuralgia. My hair is currently cut fairly short and has no chemical treatments (no hair color or perm) and it turns out very nice, full and fluffy, with just a little blow-drying and a round brush. The only possible downside to using this soap is that it gets slippery when it's wet, more so once it's about half gone, but that's something I'll gladly deal with to get all of the benefits of using it.
